You can find my sketch and inspiration here.

I am having a lot of fun creating hair on my characters! I wanted to create a braid and keep it simple. I looked online at different images to get an idea of how to illustrate this. I started with a long chain, but that didn’t look right and I didn’t see how to merge it with the hair on the top of the head. So as you can see, I used circles to create the hair.

This is the second time I have placed clothes on the model. Of course I wanted something form-fitting, so I created a one piece suit. This time I placed shadows as elements of the clothes. The challenge here is what details do I want to include in the clothing. I decided to define the chest, abs, and junk.

One issue is that Bey in real life (RL) is a black cat. It was very difficult for me to create a fully black colored character. I was trying to highlight items with white, but it wasn’t looking that great. So I decided on a dark brown.

I also decided all Studd Bunnies characters are gender fluid.

Holiday Card

This is a holiday card I created. I used an illustration I already had and placed snow on the hill/mountain.

This piece will be printed and distributed to about 30 people via mail.

It looks like the colors are a little different on this screen vs. my PC laptop screen.
